Unique Edible Gifts for the Holidays

Unique Edible Gifts for the Holidays

  November 22, 2017

Holiday traditions are fun to create and maintain. One in our family is giving unique edible gifts for the holidays. We make baskets for friends that include all sorts of delightful goodies, made from – you guessed it, honey.

If you do not like to cook, send someone you love a HoneyGramz. You can select a pre-designed message or custom design one of your own.

Want more to satisfy the sweet tooth? Try these honey candy recipes. The Nerdy Farm wife has 2 easy honey candy recipes. Both candies need to be kept refrigerated until you are ready to deliver them.

If you are not a big hard candy fan, you can try making some honey taffy. Have the kids help your stretch honey into a pliable, rollable gift.

You can also make your own version of donut holes, with these fried honey bites or Neapolitan Honey Balls from Woman’s Day.

Healthier options include making your own sweet granola mix.

  • Heat up equal parts honey, peanut butter and brown sugar (say 1/3 – ½ cup each) until it just reaches boiling.
  • In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients: raisins, dried cranberries, granola, chocolate chips, nuts (have fun with it) until you have 12 – 16 oz of dry mix.
  • Stir the honey mixture over the dry mixture and stir until evenly coated. Use a small scooper or spoons to place balls of your granola mix onto a cookie sheet.
  • Let it cool before wrapping them for gift baskets.

If you want the best of both worlds – make a basket with your favorite holiday treats and add a HoneyGramz greeting to it.
